Cytori Therapeutics Names John Ransom, Ph.D., Vice President of Research, Regenerative Cell Technology

Cytori Therapeutics, Inc. (Frankfurt: XMPA) announced today the appointment of John Ransom, Ph.D., to Vice President of Research, Regenerative Cell Technology. Dr. Ransom will direct the Company's adipose stem and regenerative cell therapy discovery efforts.

Dr. Ransom has over 17 years of drug discovery management experience. Prior to joining Cytori, Dr. Ransom spent five years at Novasite Pharmaceuticals, Inc., most recently as Vice President, Biology. There he focused on discovery of drug candidates for neuropathic pain, central nervous system disorders and metabolic disease as well as technology development. Dr. Ransom received his Ph.D. in Physiology from University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School.
