OTN Announces Members of Board of Directors
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ — OTN (Oncology Therapeutics Network), a leading independent oncology services company, today announced the four members who will make up its board of directors. They are Andrew Jody Gessow, a private investor; James S. Rubin, a partner in One Equity Partners; Daniel J. Selmonosky, a partner in One Equity Partners; and Richard D. Shirk, retired chairman of Cerulean Companies. As previously announced, Edward A. Kangas will serve as chairman of the board. In addition, John Amos, president and CEO of OTN, is a board member.

Andrew Jody Gessow is a private investor in Woodside, Calif. He was co- founder and partner, daVinci Japan, co-chairman of Sunterra Corporation and co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Signature Resorts, Inc. Prior to that he was a partner at Trammell Crow Company. Mr. Gessow received his BBA from Emory University and his MBA from Harvard University.
James S. Rubin has been a partner at One Equity Partners in New York since 2001. Prior to that, he was a vice president at Allen & Company Incorporated, a privately-held investment banking firm. He has a JD from Yale Law School and earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College. He currently sits on the board of directors of Quintiles Transnational Corporation.
Daniel J. Selmonosky has been a partner at One Equity Partners in New York since 2001. Prior to that, he was a vice president at Allen & Company Incorporated. Earlier in his career, he worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. He earned his B.A. from Columbia University. He currently sits on the board of directors of Telerate.
Richard D. Shirk retired in 2002 as the chairman of Cerulean Companies, Inc., the parent company of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia, following its merger with WellPoint Health Networks Inc. He served as president and chief executive officer of Cerulean since its formation in 1996 and as president and chief executive officer of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia from 1992 to 2001. He has more than 30 years of experience in insurance, employee benefits, healthcare and managed care. Mr. Shirk is a graduate of Gettsyburg College, where he serves on the board of trustees. He currently sits on the board of directors of AMERIGROUP Corporation, a multi-state managed healthcare company.
Edward A. Kangas currently serves as a director and non-executive chairman of the board of Tenet Healthcare Corporation, an owner and operator of acute care hospitals and related healthcare services. He is the former chairman and chief executive officer of the global accounting firm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
