Dec. 27--From our news staff The Miller-Keystone Blood Center, 2745 Leisz's Bridge Road, Bern Township, has scheduled the following blood drive sites: Wednesday: St. Joseph Medical Center, 12th and Walnut streets, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Fairgrounds Square Mall, 3050 N. Fifth St., Highway, Muhlenberg Township, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Ozzy's Sports Fun Center, 5411 Pottsville Pike, Ontelaunee Township, 11 a.m. to 7:40 p.m. Thursday: St. Joseph Medical Center, 12th and Walnut streets, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; St. Joseph Community Campus, 145 N. Sixth St., 9 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.; Bear Creek Mountain Resort, 101 Doe Mountain Lane, Longswamp Township, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The MKBC has appointments available for the following hours: Mondays, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. (closed Jan. 2); Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 1 to 7 p.m.; Thursdays, 7:30 a.m. to noon; Fridays, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Saturdays, 7:30 a.m. to noon. Appointments are required and may be made by calling the blood bank at 610-926-6060. Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County will start an educational and support group for women diagnosed with breast cancer within the past year. The group will meet six consecutive Tuesdays, starting next Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the agency office at 529 Reading Ave., Suite C., West Reading. Call 610-375-9925 to register.
