L A Weight Loss Centers Donates $250,000 to Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund and Encourages Others to Join Their Efforts

HORSHAM, Pa., Dec. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- L A Weight Loss Centers, Inc., one of the world's fastest-growing weight loss programs, announced today that they are making a generous donation of $250,000 to the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund. This donation is just one of the many that L A Weight Loss has made during the holiday season as part of their ongoing community outreach.

"As a company, we work hard all year long to make a difference in people's lives. With the devastation caused by Katrina being so great, we couldn't stand by and do nothing. We felt it was our duty to help however we could," said Vahan Karian, Chairman and CEO of L A Weight Loss Centers, Inc. Aside from making their own sizable contribution, L A Weight Loss is hoping that their clients, employees, and others will be inspired to donate as well. In an effort to help further this cause, L A Weight Loss is encouraging partners and clients to donate through posters and information provided in each center.

The Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund has received an incredible response since their initial call for support. Nearly 60,000 people have donated to the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund, for a total of over $100 million in contributions, and more money continues to come in. The Fund was formed to meet the needs of those who are living in areas affected by Hurricane Katrina who are suffering financially, are seeking economic opportunities, or trying to improve their quality of life by working primarily through partnerships and collaborations with other organizations.
