Unity Health Plans Insurance Corporation (Unity) has entered into an agreement to purchase ikaSystems' web-enabled portals. The ikaEnterprise System is a proven, robust, and feature-rich next generation Web portal system that will help Unity gain competitive advantage in the managed care industry.
The Sales portal, in particular, will streamline and simplify the entire sales cycle for Unity, including online health insurance quote and proposal generation, plan selection, application submission, and medical underwriting.
"ikaSystems' technology is the most comprehensive, intuitive, and affordable solution to our business automation needs," says Gail Midlikowski, Vice President of Operations at Unity. Unity's extensive due diligence included research on business and technology solutions, cost considerations, and vendors' proven results.
ikaSystems has a proven track record across the managed care marketplace. "We streamline business processes through automation to increase productivity and profitability and we have done so with success for many years," says Ravi Ika, President and CEO of ikaSystems. "Using ikaSystems' technology, Unity will outperform the competition hands-down," adds Ika.
Through the Sales portal, agents will be able to access critical information online in real-time and respond faster to customers' needs to see dynamic views of health insurance options, which is imperative for success in today's marketplace.
"We expect ikaSystems technology to meet and exceed our business requirements," says Midlikowski. "ikaSystems offers a fully integrated end-to-end solution where all functionality is provided in a single platform to meet Unity's current and future business needs," notes Ika.
