Research and Markets: Anthem and Wellpoint Sign a Merger Agreement to Become the Leading Health Benefits Company in the US

The combined company serves nearly 27 million medical members, and operate as a Blue Cross or Blue Cross Blue Shield licensee in 13 states. The new company is called WellPoint Inc.
