BOSTON (Reuters) - The Bayer drug Trasylol, widely given to heart surgery patients to prevent excessive blood loss, doubles the risk of kidney failure and stroke, researchers reported on Wednesday.
It also raises the chance of heart failure or heart attack by 55 percent, according to the study published in this week's New England Journal of Medicine.
