Workshop set to help seniors join drug plan
A health group is sponsoring a workshop on how to help seniors enroll in Medicare prescription drug plans that are right for them.
The Medicare Rx Access Network of Louisiana session will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Plaza Hearing Room of the Department of Insurance 1702 N. Third St., north of the State Capitol in Baton Rouge.
As of Nov. 15, seniors could add drug coverage to their Medicare plan. There are lots of plans and lots of choices and the access network formed to educate beneficiaries and their caregivers about the new drug benefit.
Louisiana Senior Rx, the Louisiana Senior Health Insurance Information Program, the governors Office of Elderly Affairs and more than 50 other organizations join the Medicare Rx Access Network of Louisiana are joining in the educational campaign on the new Medicare Part D benefit.
