The physicians of California Heart and Surgical Hospital (CHSH) are pleased to announce their partnership with Cirrus Health in the development and management of the hospital. Located in Loma Linda, the comfortable, spacious hospital will provide cardiac and surgical care to residents of Loma Linda and other rapidly growing Inland Empire cities.
"We partnered with Cirrus Health because of their dedication to high-quality patient care and their commitment to ensuring physicians have a voice in how patient care is delivered," said Dr. Allen Gustafson, Chairman of the Board for CHSH. "Cirrus Health's track record of developing exceptional facilities with physicians exemplifies their commitment."
Cirrus Health, based in Trophy Club, Texas, is a nationwide healthcare development and management company specializing in ambulatory surgery centers and specialty surgical hospitals. They are designed to serve local communities by partnering with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver excellence in patient care in effective, caring environments.
In partnership with physicians, Cirrus Health will oversee the development of the hospital on a 6.33 acre parcel of land located on the northeast corner of Barton Road and New Jersey Street in Loma Linda. Construction of the 70,000 square foot California Heart and Surgical Hospital is expected to begin early 2006. In addition to the hospital, the site will also accommodate a 25,000 square foot medical office building.
Once completed, the California Heart and Surgical Hospital will house six surgical suites, two of which will be oversized to accommodate open-heart procedures; two cardiac catherization labs; two procedure rooms for gastro-intestinal (GI) endoscopy and pain treatments; 24 post anesthesia care units; four intensive-care unit (ICU) beds; and 24 private patient rooms. The hospital's amenities also include a cafe, patient room access to a patio "healing garden" and interior atriums for patient family members.
"We are excited the physicians of California Heart and Surgical Hospital have chosen us as their partner to provide patients in Loma Linda and other Inland Empire cities with yet another option for high-quality healthcare in a safe, convenient and luxurious environment," stated Tim Parris, Chief Executive Officer, for Cirrus Health.
Current physician partners of the California Heart and Surgical Hospital specialize in twelve specialties including, cardiology, orthopaedics, gastroenterology and gynecology.
