Imerica Life and Health Insurance Company Announces the Appointment of 2 Seasoned Sales Executives for Expansion into the Illinois, Georgia and Alabama Markets

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Rod Farmer, CEO & President of Imerica Life and Health Insurance Company, today announced the appointment of 2 seasoned sales executives for the continuing expansion of its health insurance plans in the Illinois, Georgia and Alabama markets. Both Tom Cocagne (Illinois) and Bruno Guillemette (Georgia & Alabama) each bring well over 20 years of health insurance sales and marketing expertise to Imerica. In their new positions as Regional Vice Presidents of Sales, they will be responsible for recruiting and training independent agents and general agents, and for managing the Imerica sales efforts in their respective markets.

Prior to joining Imerica, Tom was Sales and Marketing Manager for HumanaOne, the individual product line for Humana, and managed its distribution system in the Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana markets. Mr Cocagne was with Fortis from 1986 to 2001, serving as District Sales Manager, and focusing on the recruitment and development of independent producers. Mr. Cocagne earned his B.S. Degree from Findlay University. He also holds his NASD Series 6, Series 26, Series 63, Series 65, Life and Health and Variable Annuities licenses.

Prior to joining Imerica, Mr. Guillemette was President and Founder of Health Plan Solutions, launching Medicare Advantage products for Humana through independent brokers in Georgia. From 2003 to 2004, he served as Georgia/Tennessee Sales Manager for Humana and launched their individual products in those states. Between 2001 and 2003, he launched HealthMarket's small group products in Georgia and recruited over 300 brokers in the first 6 months. Between 1996 and 2001, Mr. Guillemette was consistently ranked as one of the top Regional Sales Managers for Unicare/Wellpoint in the United States, and launched the Unicare Individual and Small Group Health products in Georgia, recruiting over 700 brokers in his first year. Mr. Guillemette earned a Master's Degree from Webster University in St. Louis, MO and his Bachelor's Degree from Norwich University in Northfield, VT. He is a Registered Health Underwriter and a Member of the Atlanta Association of Health Underwriters.
