Pioneering Enterprise EHR Solution Ports Variety of Modules onto Browser-Based Platform Allowing Caregivers To Better Manage and Share Information
Misys Healthcare Systems, a market leader in healthcare IT, today announced the availability of Misys CPR(TM) 5.0, the newest version of its market-leading Electronic Health Records (EHR) solution and a member of the Misys Optimum(TM) family of clinical products and Web-based technologies designed to share patient data across all medical care venues. Misys Healthcare Systems delivers enterprise clinical information management via a computer-based patient record with integrated computerized physician order entry (CPOE) processes to allow caregivers to better manage and share information. Misys CPR 5.0, a pioneer in the EHR industry, is again helping clients lead the industry by transitioning to a browser-based solution that is easily deployed, reduces costs for healthcare facilities, and allows easy and intuitive access to patient clinical information.
Misys CPR 5.0 drives higher quality of care with its advanced decision support capabilities, quality reporting module and secure browser-based access to patient clinical information. Built upon Misys' strong clinical foundation and incorporating new technologies and features, Misys CPR 5.0 is an EHR solution that features an integrated CPOE process employing a single database, as well as a rules engine that spans all health venues. The interoperability Misys CPR 5.0 provides allows physicians, nurses and pharmacists to offer collaborative, patient-centric care with a truly integrated medication management function.
"Today's healthcare market is demanding EHR solutions that are easy to use for the providers, secure to protect patient data and supported by a reliable vendor with a commitment to client support," said Richard Atkin, president of the Hospital Systems business at Misys Healthcare Systems. "As we continue to stay ahead of industry trends and build on our long history of meeting the needs of hospitals and physicians, Misys is committed to providing innovations that deliver real value to our clients and their patients."
"The new version of Misys CPR provides us with a series of features that our clinicians find valuable in addition to the expansion of the browser-based platform," Jean Corbeil, Senior Project Manager at Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Sherbrooke. "Misys Healthcare Systems, a long-term partner in our quest to provide the best patient care possible, has again delivered a top quality, reliable tool. From Physician Problem Lists to a prioritized Pharmacy Review Queue, it's smart, useful and relevant."
Misys CPR 5.0 continues toward the goal of presenting a completely Web-based solution and provides the option to clients wishing to transition to an industry-standard Cache platform, which leads in all five specific KLAS performance measurements. Additionally, the Misys CPR 5.0 database will be available through SQL, object and multi-dimensional access methods and mainstream reporting technologies.
Misys Healthcare Systems will exhibit Misys CPR 5.0 - as well as all other solutions in the Misys Optimum family of products - Feb. 12-16 at the 2006 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference in San Diego (Booth #721).
