Community Health Systems to Acquire Via Christi Oklahoma Regional Medical Center

Community Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE:CYH) announced today the execution of a definitive agreement to acquire Via Christi Oklahoma Regional Medical Center from the Via Christi Health System, a Catholic not-for-profit healthcare system serving Kansas and Oklahoma. The 148-bed acute-care hospital is the sole healthcare provider in Ponca City, Oklahoma, approximately 75 miles northeast of Tulsa and 80 miles north of Oklahoma City.
