Two suspected bird flu patients die in Indonesia
JAKARTA, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Two people hospitalized for developing bird flu symptoms died Thursday at the specialist hospital Sulianti Saroso in Jakarta.
A 15-year-old girl and a 27-year-old man died after being treated for just one day at the hospital, reported the Detikcom news website.
The hospital is currently conducting laboratory tests to find if they had bird flu.
At least 26 have been tested positive for the H5N1 virus in Indonesia since last year at a World Health Organization- accredited laboratory in Hong Kong. Of the 26 cases, 18 have died.
