Aveta's MMM Achieves 100th Percentile Ranking in 'Overall Rating of Health Plan' in CMS Medicare Advantage CAHPS Survey

NEW YORK, Feb. 17, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Medicare y Mucho Mas (MMM), an Aveta company and Puerto Rico's leading provider of Medicare Advantage services, achieved a 100 percentile ranking in "Overall Rating of Health Plan" in the 2004 Medicare Advantage CAHPS Survey of Medicare beneficiaries, the most recent results released by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The survey is conducted annually by CMS to assess the experiences of Medicare Advantage beneficiaries.
According to the CMS survey report, 64% of surveyed MMM enrollees gave MMM a rating of '10' on an ascending scale of 0-10 in terms of "Overall Rating of Health Plan," with 10 being "the best health plan possible." MMM's rating on Overall Quality of Health Plan ranked it in the 100th percentile, the highest, of the more than 170 Medicare Advantage plans included in the survey nationwide and compares to both national and regional averages of 37% of enrollees rating their overall health plans a '10'. MMM is part of CMS' Region II, which includes, New York, New jersey, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The CMS 2004 Medicare Advantage CAHPS Survey was conducted between September 2004 and January 2005 and included more than 132,000 current enrollees in 173 Medicare Advantage plans and some 6,500 beneficiaries who had disenrolled from surveyed plans.
