The Emirates Diagnostic Clinic, a multidisciplinary facility that has offered clinical and diagnostic care to families and individuals for 22 years, is enhancing its offerings with new equipment and specialties and longer working hours.
A member of Welcare World Health Systems, Emirates Diagnostic Clinic (EDC) is staffed by highly skilled and trained doctors many with more than 20 years of experience providing the personalized patient care that underlies the friendly and familiar atmosphere at the clinic.
Dedicated to holistic preventive medicine, EDC adds the fields of Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Advanced Dermatology, Physiotherapy and 4D ultrasound to its range of specializations. With morning hours from 8:30am-1pm and afternoon clinics from 4:30pm- 8:30pm Saturday through Wednesday, and from 8:30am-2pm on Thursdays, EDC now offers more convenient timings for busy members of the community and family care-givers.
"Emirates Diagnostic Clinic is an important part of Welcare World's comprehensive healthcare network, which was developed to provide an integrated approach to patient care through its clinics and hospitals. Our goal is to promote wellness, first level screening, diagnostic services and management of ill health and disease to keep our customers healthy. In the event that they require more advanced diagnostic procedures, surgery or hospitalization, they are referred to Welcare Hospital - the secondary and tertiary care facility within our network," said Dr. Sumedha Sahni, Director Quality Assurance and Head of Satellite Centers, Welcare World Health Systems.
EDC, which was the first clinic to win a Medical Services contract with Emirates Airlines and is the clinic of choice for leading logistics companies in Dubai, has on-staff specialists in the fields of Obstetrics & Gynecology; Pediatrics; Ear, Nose and Throat; Ophthalmology; Dermatology; Cardiology; Orthopedics; Dentistry, and Family Medicine.
Dr. Gangadharan, Medical Director at EDC, said, "We have provided excellent healthcare services from the heart of Dubai in Satwa and are now treating a second generation of patients. The enhancements we are implementing today have been designed to meet the changing healthcare needs of our clients and ensure our clinic offers the broadest range of services at the highest levels of care in a convenient location and for a reasonable price."
Last year, patients from more than 70 nationalities visited EDC which, in 1984 was the first polyclinic to open in Dubai, bringing several specialties together under one roof.
