Cirrus Health Appoints Barry D. Smith As Vice President of Clinical Service Line Development

Cirrus Health, a premier healthcare and development company, announced today the appointment of Mr. Barry D. Smith as vice president of clinical service line development.

Smith most recently served as vice president of finance for HealthTexas, a subsidiary corporation of Baylor Health Care System. He was responsible for the financial and management reporting including both cash and accrual financial statements, provided financial perspective to operational and strategic product and market decisions, oversaw 19 accounting, 4 financial analysts and 3 IS technology employees and was instrumental in the design and implementation of all accounting procedures associated with the corporation. In addition, he established and managed reporting for new business service lines. Smith served as controller at BaylorFast and at Baylor Health Enterprises. At Baylor Health Enterprises, he was responsible for the financial support of diagnostic clinic joint ventures and the accounting associated with Baylor HomeCare and Baylor Health Services.

Smith is a certified public accountant, received his Master of Professional Accountancy and his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a current member of the Texas Society of CPA’s.
