Home Health Agency Receives $1,500 Grant for Services

The Rosamond Thaxter Foundation has granted $1,500 to HomeHealth - Visiting Nurses of Southern Maine to support home health care services in the Kittery area.
The foundation was established in 1964 and supports the arts, conservation, and health and social services in southern Maine and seacoast New Hampshire.
The HomeHealth - Visting Nurses agency offers skilled nursing, home health aides, rehabilitative therapy, medical social work, adult health clinics and maternal and child health care.
Last year, the agency cared for 7,343 new patients, provided 107,815 home visits and gave more than $400,000 in charity and uncompensated care to patients without resources or insurance to pay for services.
