Hospital Smoking Zones
February 27, 2006
SCOTS health bosses are creating smoking zones at hospitals.
Ayrshire and Arran Health Board will build shelters outside Ayr Hospital and Crosshouse Hospital, near Kilmarnock.
Patients, staff and visitors will all be allowed to use the smoking zones after Scotland’s smoking ban starts next month.
A health board spokeswoman said: “We hope it will make it easier for smokers to quit gradually.”
