Van Der Weerds Make Natural Health Accessible

Health 2000 stock a medical-herbalist selection of liquid herbs, a choice of homeopathic brands, a large selection of natural skin care products, and a wide range of supplements for sports, weight loss, energy and well-being.

"People come in for all types of things, from skin care and general wellbeing through to arthritis and pain relief, menopause, children and infants, pregnancy and stress," said Monica.

"We give people advice to suit their lifestyle -- the minimum products for the maximum results."

If you can't find the product you are after in a Health 2000 store, the staff can order it in for you.

Health 2000 has a rebate card that gives $10 off your next purchase once the card is complete, offer a student discount of 10 per cent, and are about to launch a beauty club and a senior citizens card.

The Hamilton East store, which celebrates its 10th birthday this month, also has a clinic where Frans practices physiotherapy, homeopathy, cranial sacral therapy and the Bowen technique.

"He gets a lot of clients through personal recommendations -- his clients just adore him -- he's an incredible practitioner," said Monica.

Health 2000 provides many products and services that are compatible and safe to use alongside mainstream medicine, making natural health more accessible.

"We have GPs send people into the shop because they know they will get good advice from us," said Frans.
