American CareSource Holdings Expands Management Team With Appointment of James V. O'Rourke to Vice President Sales, National Accounts

IRVING, Texas, March 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American CareSource Holdings, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: ACSH) today announced that, effective March 1, 2006, James V. O'Rourke has been appointed to the position of Vice President Sales, National Accounts. In this newly created position, Mr. O'Rourke will focus on his existing relationships with third party administrators (TPA) and provide them with the value proposition ACS holds in reducing ancillary care benefit costs. He will report directly to Wayne A. Schellhammer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American CareSource.

Prior to joining American CareSource, Mr. O'Rourke served as Vice President, Account Services from 2001 to 2004 for Caremark, Inc. and its predecessor company Advance PCS, Inc., a leading prescription benefit management company. In this role Mr. O'Rourke was responsible for the management and development of the company's TPA market segment clients and the company's overall TPA product development, marketing and distribution strategies. Immediately prior to joining Advance PCS, Mr. O'Rourke served as Regional Director, Managed Care for Bergen Brunswick Corporation.
From 1993 to 1999 Mr. O'Rourke served as a regional marketing director for Express Scripts, Inc. another leading prescription benefit management company where he was regionally responsible for new client acquisition and development. Prior to his role with Express Scripts, Mr. O'Rourke has served in a number of national and regional sales, account management and sales management roles with leading insurance companies serving the employee benefit and group insurance markets. Mr. O'Rourke received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He also holds a Chartered Financial Consultant designation from The American College.
