Cell Bio-Systems Begins Shipping Luer-to-Luer Transfer Devices

Cell Bio-Systems, Inc. (OTC: CBSI), a developer of medical devices and patented technologies for the living tissue markets, including plastic, cosmetic, and orthopedic surgeries, today announced it will begin shipping its Luer-to-Luer Transfer devices at the end of March. The Luer-to-Luer Transfer is another disposable tool in its series of accessories for surgical cannulas and syringes.

Cell Bio-Systems will sell the product under the Tulip Disposable Products brand. The Luer-to-Luer Transfer simplifies the fat transfer process for plastic and cosmetic surgeons by creating a stable and secure connection from a large syringe to a smaller one for fat reinjection. This marks the first time a luer-to-luer transfer device has been developed using the Cell Bio-Systems patented SuperLuerLok(TM) technology, which is designed to virtually eliminate leaks and breakage.

According to Darin Andersen, president and chief operating officer of CBSI, production models of the accessory are available now. Andersen said, “We are on target to ship the Luer-to-Luer Transfer and begin generating revenues in Q1. We think the doctors will really like this economical disposable transfer and expect to see demand soon because it will make their jobs easier and safer while returning better performance.”
