Celtic Healthcare of Carlisle, Inc. Acquires Carlisle Regional Medical Center Home Health Care Division

PITTSBURGH and CARLISLE, Pa., March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Celtic Healthcare, Inc., a leading regional home healthcare and rehabilitation services provider, announced on Friday, March 17 that it has acquired the Carlisle Regional Medical Center Home Health Care Division. The new provider will operate as Carlisle Regional Home Health Services.

Bill Leonard, CEO of Carlisle Regional Medical Center, stated in a memo dated March 15, 2006 to the hospital staff: "Celtic is a Pennsylvania company which focuses exclusively on home health. Dr. William Kauffman, of the Carlisle Regional Medical Center, has agreed to continue serving as Celtic Healthcare's Medical Director of Carlisle Regional Home Health Services. "Celtic Healthcare, with its emphasis in home healthcare services, will offer patients and the community additional resources and expertise to enhance homecare services," said Dr. Kauffman. "Their vision is very exciting and motivating to all of us, and I am pleased to be involved."

Current patients, of the former home healthcare division, will experience no interruption of services -- they will be seamlessly transitioned to Carlisle Regional Home Health Services. "At Celtic, we recognize the importance of consistent, individualized care throughout a patient's recovery process," said Burchianti. "Home healthcare and rehabilitation is our core business."
