Viewpoints 12-Hour Wait for a Ward

I am a 78-year-old disabled ex-Serviceman who has been in and out of hospital three times since November.
I read the article about the waiting times at the University Hospital of Wales with interest.
I was admitted to Llandough Hospital with a heart condition.
After seeing the doctors I was told to wait in the waiting room where I sat on a hard chair from 10.30am until 10.15pm.
By the afternoon it became so crowded there wasn't any room for anyone to sit. At 10.15pm I was taken to a ward, when I got there I was amazed how basic it was, not even a chair to sit on.
What I have said is no reflection on the staff who do a wonderful job, I could not fault the treatment.
One listens to the rhetoric being spouted by King Rhodri and the so-called health minister.
It's time they got out of their ivory tower and found out what is going on in the real world.
I would love to have the chance to have my say at that debating chamber.
