The Driscoll Children’s Hospital-Victoria Specialty Center, Suite 201, in the second floor of the building formerly known as the VRMC Professional Building, will provide a centralized location for specialty physicians who commute to Victoria once a month, according to a Driscoll news release.
These physicians are specialists to whom Victoria pediatricians would refer their patients with difficult diseases or disorders.
For example, pediatric endocrinologist Stephen Ponder, a Driscoll physician who specializes in glandular disorders in children, would be consulted in case a child developed type II diabetes.
The Imaging Center at the Women & Children’s Center will occupy Suite 107 of 115 Medical Drive and will house DeTar’s newest imaging technology, including equipment for magnetic resonance imaging and mammography.
