Mar. 22--Minneapolis police arrested three people Tuesday night after a pursuit in which three handguns were thrown from the suspects' car.
Police officers observed a car go through a red light at about 11 p.m. While pursuing the car, officers Jeff Hoff and James Reynolds saw three guns thrown from the car that were later retrieved. The pursuit ended when the car collided with another vehicle.
Aiesha Camille Williams, 23, of Hopkins; James Michael Walker, 28, of Minneapolis; and Omari Kwakou, 28, of Brooklyn Park were arrested and are being held in Hennepin County Jail. They have not yet been charged.
Officer Ron Reier, spokesman for the police department, said that no connection has been made at this time between these three suspects and any other crimes under investigation.
