According to fdi.gov.cn: Wyeth, which enjoys great fame in China for its milk powder, is trying to shift its priority to prescription drugs. Yesterday, Early Clinical Drug Research Center came into being in Beijing, a cooperative product of Wyeth and Peking Union Medial College Hospital
. This is Wyeth's globally first clinical research center. Wyeth is ranked ninth in the global prescription drug market. It introduced its milk powder products to China in 1990, but didn't find its way into China's prescription drug market until 1998. Therefore, its performance in China's milk powder and nutritional products market by far outshines that in China's drug market.Source: Info-Prod Research (Middle East)
