New Tool Helps Patients Better Manage Their Care

Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is helping patients better manage their care by providing them with a personal health manager application supplied by Bio-Imaging Technologies’ CapMed division.

CapMed says its PHM enables individuals to track their medical information on a personal computer. The information includes patient registration and health history forms, their provider directory, as well as health resources and guidelines.

In addition, CapMed is providing its Personal HealthKey, a portable USB application for transporting medical information, to a sample of its senior management team with the goal of evaluating the technology for future release to patients.
