Further empowering cardiologists by delivering cutting-edge diagnostic imaging technologies, Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. (TAMS) today announced that Parma Community General Hospital in Parma, Ohio, has completed installation of the Infinix(TM) CC-i FPD (flat panel detector), Toshiba's single-plane, ceiling-mounted vascular and cardiac imaging system. Parma is the latest healthcare institution to take advantage of the flexibility, superior image quality and reliability that the Infinix CC-i FPD delivers and has purchased three systems.
"The Infinix CC-i FPD was designed specifically for the type of advanced cardiac imaging procedures we are conducting at our facility. The system delivers distortion-free images necessary for viewing small devices and structures without compromising patient safety," said Dr. Christine Zirafi, director of Cath Lab, Parma Community General Hospital. "Our decision to purchase Toshiba systems is a testament to the system's performance."
The new system, which will be housed in Parma Community General Hospital's Cath Lab Department, will enable physicians to conduct a wide range of cardiac procedures, including peripheral work and interventional EP (electrophysiology) applications.
"The Infinix CC-i FPD is uniquely designed to meet the select needs of clinicians conducting complex cardiac imaging procedures. In addition to the system's unparalleled image quality and lower dose, it improves diagnosis and treatment while maintaining patient safety," said Don Volz, director of vascular business at TAMS.
