Medical Center’s Board Hires New Chief Officer

Mar. 30–EDMOND — After two months of searching, the Board of Trustees at Edmond Medical Center appointed a candidate to fill the chief executive officer position.
Sally Steffen will begin her CEO duties April 10.
“She is an energetic and enthusiastic health care administrator who is excited about the opportunity to serve the Edmond community,” said Paul Massad, chairman of the board.
A native of El Paso, Texas, Steffen served as chief operating officer at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso since 2001, overseeing about 1,300 employees, said Lori Boyd, a spokeswoman at Edmond Medical Center.
Steffen has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas in El Paso.
Former CEO Ed Gray announced his resignation Jan. 11 to become vice president of Healthcare Partners LLC and president and chief executive officer of its Oklahoma City operation.
