APHA to Showcase Solutions For Improving Community Design To Improve Children's Health During National Public Health Week Kickoff; 5 Communities To Receive Awards

WHAT: During a briefing to launch National Public Health Week, the American Public Health Association will showcase proven solutions that communities can implement to improve the built environment -- roads, sidewalks, parks and community design -- and improve children's health. APHA will present awards to five model communities from across the country for implementing solutions to address health challenges, such as air pollution, obesity and access to health care, in their built environment.

WHEN: Monday, April 3, Noon-2 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
