Cost Care, Inc. Receives URAC Health Utilization Management Accreditation

CHICAGO, April 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- UniCare Life & Health Insurance Company and its affiliated companies ("UniCare") announced today that its sister company Cost Care, Inc. has been awarded Health Utilization Management Accreditation from URAC, a Washington, D.C.-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.
Cost Care, Inc. conducts utilization management for UniCare, a family of health benefit companies serving approximately 1.3 million members in the United States. Utilization management refers to the routine administrative review by health insurers to determine whether the proposed medical care is eligible for benefits under the member's insurance policy.
