Misys Healthcare Systems, a market leader in healthcare IT, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Lifetime Management Solutions (LMS) of Rochester, New York. This partnership will make Misys Homecare(TM) - an industry leading home health solution - available to small and mid-size home care and hospice agencies in the northeastern U.S. who seek affordable advanced software to automate clinical and financial operations.
Allowing these agencies to dedicate more time to improving community healthcare, Misys Homecare enables home care facilities to capture, integrate and act on critical patient data in real-time. Misys Homecare, as part of the Misys Optimum(TM) family of leading clinical products and Web-based technologies that connect community-based physicians and caregivers to the acute care enterprise, enables increased efficiencies, better decision-making and improved hospital-physician relations.
"Misys Homecare's clinical and point-of-care functionalities ideally meet the unique needs of our clients," said Yvette Ilardo, Vice President, Lifetime Management Solutions. "We are pleased to offer smaller agencies access to Misys Homecare through an outsourcing alternative which negates the need for costly investment in complex IT infrastructure. Our partnership helps home care agencies provide the best possible care while reducing costs."
Lifetime Management Solutions provides an array of services to home care and hospice agencies in New York and nearby states, including financial and clinical management, billing and collections, information systems and business development. LMS is a division of Lifetime Care, a home health and hospice provider that was one of the first agencies in the New York region to use Misys Homecare.
"Lifetime Care sought an industry-proven solution that would allow it to dedicate more time to improving patient care and less on operational and financial processes," said Betty Feth, President of Misys Healthcare Systems' Homecare Systems business unit. "Lifetime Care and Misys share a vision of using Web-based solutions to allow home health agencies to provide critical patient care while reducing overall costs."
Lifetime Care is currently using Misys Homecare to automate all of its business processes, from patient registration and scheduling to billing. With first-hand experience using Misys technology, it can assist smaller agencies to raise standards of care while streamlining workflow processes.
"Misys addresses home care technology needs better than any other vendor in the marketplace," said John Cauvel, Vice President of Information Systems at Lifetime Care. "Misys understands business needs and delivers a highly efficient software solution that allows home health agencies of any size to concentrate more attention on patient care."
