CIMCO Communications Partners With Northwestern Memorial Hospital to Deliver Centrex Support for 10,000 Phone Lines

CIMCO Communications, an integrated data and voice provider serving businesses that have mission critical communications needs, today announced its agreement with Northwestern Memorial Hospital to support its Centrex services. This agreement means that CIMCO will manage the Centrex phone system support for more than 10,000 phones around the hospital's campus.
Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago is one of the country's premier academic medical centers with a reputation for delivering high quality care. The state-of-the-art facility houses more than seven hundred patient beds and employs nearly six thousand people.
"The hospital's voice and phone services play a critical role in making the facility operate efficiently on a daily basis," said Chuck Colander, Director of Technology Management at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. "In selecting a vendor to manage the hospital's communications technology, it is imperative that they understand our needs, and have demonstrated experience in healthcare settings."
As part of the partnership, CIMCO provides the hospital with support for service requests. The partnership also has provided for round the clock, on-site program management and help desk support for the hospital's Centrex services. CIMCO customized their billing and work order management systems to better suit Northwestern Memorial's internal and external requirements.
"During a very thorough evaluation by Northwestern Memorial, we conducted a comprehensive feasibility analysis to better understand the needs and requirements of the hospital, assembled the best team to address those specific needs and delivered a complete program," said Bill Capraro, CIMCO CEO. CIMCO worked closely with the hospital and other vendors familiar with the facility to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. Working diligently during the sixty days prior to going live and strategically selecting the team to work on-site minimized the impact on the staff of Northwestern Memorial
The relationship between CIMCO and Northwestern Memorial recently expanded to include providing Internet Services, which is another critical element to the hospital's day-to-day operations.
