CIGNA Appoints Rebekah Whitehouse As Chief Marketing Officer for Its Group Insurance Business

PHILADELPHIA, April 11, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CIGNA Group Insurance today announced that Rebekah Whitehouse has joined the Senior Leadership Team as Chief Marketing Officer, reporting to the division President, Karen S. Rohan. Whitehouse continues to serve as the Chief Marketing Officer for CIGNA Dental & Vision Care, a position she has held since July 2004.
In this new role, Whitehouse will lead all strategy, product development and marketing initiatives for the Group Insurance division of CIGNA, which sells Life, Accident and Disability coverage to employers.
"Rebekah is a seasoned marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry," says Rohan. "Her extensive knowledge of this business will be invaluable as we look for additional ways to integrate our group insurance and health care offerings to provide customers with increased opportunities to reduce costs, improve health outcomes and increase productivity."
Whitehouse has 15 years' experience with CIGNA, having held a number of senior marketing and sales management positions with CIGNA HealthCare. In addition to her tenure with CIGNA, she has also held management positions in marketing for several other large health care companies.
