China Medical to Announce Fourth Quarter and Full Year Financial Results for the Year Ended March 31 2006 on June 16, 2006

China Medical Technologies, Inc. (the "Company") (Nasdaq: CMED), a leading China-based medical device company that develops, manufactures and markets high intensity focused ultrasound products and advanced in-vitro diagnostic systems, plans to release its fourth quarter and full year results for the year ended March 31, 2006 before the market opens on June 16, 2006. The Company will host a conference call on June 16, 2006 at 9:00AM, Eastern Time, to discuss the results.

For the fiscal year ended March 31, 2006, the Company expects net annual revenue to be between RMB 360 million and RMB 400 million, a projected annual growth rate of 65.4% - 83.8%, and net income to be between RMB 175 million and RMB 190 million, a projected annual growth rate of 47.7% - 60.4%. This is the same guidance given by the Company at its third fiscal quarter results announcement on February 13, 2006.

For the conference call, Mr. Sam Tsang, Chief Financial Officer and Mr. Charles Zhu, Vice President, of the Company will review the results and take questions.
