The Behavioral Center of Michigan Announces the Opening of Its Specialized Health Care Facility

WARREN, Mich., May 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Behavioral Center of Michigan (BCOM) announced here today the opening of the newest specialized mental health care facility in Southeast Michigan. The Behavioral Center will offer mental health care in an upscale environment, and shall represent the future of specialized patient care.

The recently completed 30,000 square-foot facility has 42-beds on 3 different floors catering to the varying needs of adults suffering from acute psychiatric conditions. Individual rooms are appointed with modern furnishings, private bathrooms, flat-panel televisions and custom artwork. By mid-summer its innovative day-treatment program will offer the latest methodologies for individual activity therapies.
With its opening, BCOM also announced that Dr. Habib Vaziri was appointed to the position of Medical Director. Dr. Vaziri, a renowned psychiatrist with 40 years experience specializing in child, adolescent, adult, geriatric, and substance abuse psychiatry, will support the hospital and the community through in-service training, crisis intervention, and 24-hour access availability. "I'm glad to join BCOM and lend the first-class service and care that it will provide patients suffering from a variety of psychiatric conditions," said Dr. Vaziri.
The Behavioral Center of Michigan provides adult psychiatric inpatient care with specialized clinical tracks in Affective Disorders, Acquired Brain Injury, Dual Diagnosis, Geriatric Psychiatry, and Crisis Intervention.
