Healthnostics Releases MedGuardian Patient Care Monitoring System
Posted on: Tuesday, 2 May 2006, 09:01 CDT
Healthnostics, Inc. (OTC: HNST), a medical and bioscience analytics company, today announced the release of MedGuardian, a fully Web-based patient care monitoring and risk management system for hospitals. This new modular system provides hospitals with automated data collection and reporting and analysis tools that improve clinical treatment and reduce risk events and medical errors.
MedGuardian helps keep hospitals prepared for the unannounced review visits now being conducted under the new policy of the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the organization that inspects and accredits 15,000 institutions, including hospitals and nursing homes. The recent JCAHO policy change aims to improve the quality of patient care by ensuring that healthcare personnel perform at a consistently high level.
MedGuardian was developed using the latest Microsoft Web technology, which places the MedGuardian system at the forefront of new, highly productive Rich Internet Applications. The MedGuardian clinical process improvement system can easily be accessed by a hospital through any secured Internet or Intranet connection using virtually any Web browser, anywhere.
"We are very pleased to announce the availability of our MedGuardian system for hospitals. We believe the system will make a major difference in the delivery of quality care by hospital clients," said Alan Grofe, president. "Additionally, the affordability of MedGuardian's Internet-based structure allows us to very profitably serve the smaller community hospital market, which is a group that makes up nearly 80% of the hospitals in the US."
