Produce Safety and Security International, Inc. Announces the E.P.A. Authorized Expansion of Its Spherequat 6400 E.P.A. Registered Product
Posted on: Monday, 8 May 2006, 06:04 CDT
Produce Safety & Security International, Inc. (OTC: PDSC) ("PDSC"), an ozone and chemical sanitation disinfectant process supplier to the food and medical industries, announces that the E.P.A. has authorized expansion of its Spherequat(R) 6400, E.P.A. Registered Product No. 10324-59-82131, to include the critical use categories as a Cleaner, Disinfectant and Sanitizer to include Federally Inspected Meat and Poultry Plants, Poultry/Turkey Farm, Dairy, Equine, Hotels/Motels, Waterbed Conditioner, Institutional, Industrial and Schools.
PDSC would also like to announce the immediate placement of purchase orders to inventory Spherequat 6400 at each of it distribution centers located in Arizona, Kentucky and Texas.
Clarence Karney, CEO of PDSC, states, "The uniqueness of Spherequat 6400 is driving interest in PDSC and our products. The inquiries strengthen, in volume and quality, with the E.P.A. registered authorizations. I believe this will continue to intensify as various potential end users perform their due diligence on how to deal with the potential global flu pandemic, a concern of health officials around the world."
Its uniqueness is the result of having blended a detergent into the base formulation that resulted in a product that is both a cleaner and a disinfectant that more fully complies with the requirement stated in the "Directions for sanitizing food contact surfaces in public eating places, dairy processing equipment and food processing equipment," regulated by 40 CFR section 180.940 (a): you must "Scrape, flush or presoak articles (whether mobile or stationary) to remove gross particles and soil" then "Thoroughly wash articles with an appropriate detergent or cleaner" prior to attempting to sanitize. The detergent-based Spherequat 6400 Cleaner, Disinfectant and Sanitizer combines the need for three or more products to clean disinfect and sanitize to one. A major cost effective process in terms of materials, a 55 gallon drum of this highly concentrated product will dilute to over thirty five hundred gallons of an E.P.A. approved disinfectant when mixed in accordance with the instructions supplied for use as a disinfectant in Hospitals, Dental Offices, Nursing Homes and other Health Care Institutions against:
Campylobacter jejuni Corynebacterium ammoniagenes Enterobacter aerogenes Enterococcus faecalis Escherichia coli Klebsiella pneumoniae Listeria monocytogenes Pseudomonas aeruginosa Salmonella choleraesuis Salmonella schottmuelleri Salmonella typhi Shigella dysenteriae Staphylococcus aureus Staphylococcus aureus (Methicillin resistant) Streptococcus salivarius
As a virucidal against the following viruses on hard, non-porous environmental surfaces:
