By Brian Haas, South Florida Sun-Sentinel
May 13–A woman died Saturday morning after losing control of her car on Interstate 95 in Pompano Beach and was ejected when her car flipped over, authorities said.
The woman was driving south on I-95 near Atlantic Boulevard when at about 10:25 a.m her car veered off the east shoulder and overturned, said Sgt. Mark Wysocky, spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol. The woman, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the car, he said.
She was rushed to North Broward Medical Center where she died.
Wysocky said the cause of the crash is under investigation and that witnesses saw the woman’s car swerving before the crash. Investigators have not released the woman’s identity because relatives have yet to be notified.
