May 18--It might take all morning, but the clouds should eventually lift over the South Bay today, giving way to a sunny day.
The National Weather Service is predicting a mostly clear afternoon with highs from the 60s to the 70s and an afternoon sea breeze of 15 to 25 mph.
But some clouds -- and even rain showers -- are expected to roll into the area this weekend, according to the forecast. The weather service is calling for a partly cloudy Friday with a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms.
Saturday's chance of rain is about 50 percent in the South Bay, the weather service is predicting. The threat of showers or thunderstorms is forecast to continue through Tuesday.
