Pacific Biometrics, Inc. Hires David W. Swezey As New Lab Manager; Mr. Swezey Brings 25 Years of Management Experience in Clinical Laboratories

Pacific Biometrics, Inc. (OTCBB: PBME; "PBI") has appointed David W. Swezey as its new Lab Manager. Mr. Swezey has 25 years of progressive management experience in the clinical laboratory industry. He previously served as PBI's Quality Assurance (QA) Manager from 2000 through 2003 and its Technical Supervisor from 1997 to 2000. Now, as Lab Manager, Mr. Swezey will oversee and direct the operation of all laboratory functions, including coordination with the Science and Technology group for the improvement and implementation of analytical methods.

Mr. Swezey, who has a degree in biology from Humboldt State University and a Clinical Laboratory Scientist certification from the School of Medical Technology at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, spent the last two years as Clinical Laboratory Manager of Sterling Reference Laboratories, where he was responsible for the management of all operations in clinical and toxicology laboratories. Prior, as QA Manager at PBI, Mr. Swezey created the Company laboratory's new QA department, and implemented systems compliant with Collage of American Pathologists and Good Laboratory Practices regulations. As Technical Supervisor for the Company, he was responsible for all technical aspects of testing, including the management of quality-control systems, the development of new methodologies, and the improvement of existing assays for increased efficiency.
