AerovectRx Corp. To Present Latest in Nebulizer Drug Delivery Technology at In3 Medical Device Summit; FDA 510(K) Clearance Recently Granted for Novel, Efficient and Disposable Vibrating Mesh Technology

Posted on: Monday, 12 June 2006, 12:01 CDT

AerovectRx Corporation, developers of new pain-free, nebulizer technology for mass-immunization and point-of care specialty drug delivery, announced that it will be presenting at the In3 Medical Device Summit Conference, Thursday, June 22, 2006, at 3:20 p.m. PT. The conference, sponsored by Medtech Insight, will be held at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco, CA, from June 21 - 23, 2006.

"Our unique, painless technology platform provides fast and easy delivery of a wide range of therapies and vaccines providing access to multiple billion dollar market opportunities including traditional respiratory markets such as asthma, COPD and cystic fibrosis to new emerging therapeutic areas such diabetes, cancer and pain management," said Matthew H.J. Kim, Founder and CEO of AerovectRx. "We believe that our technology is attractive to pharmaceutical companies seeking to maximize dosage-controlled packaged delivery of their drugs, to physicians seeking to remove the barriers and common side-effects presented by current drug delivery methods, and to patients seeking to avoid painful needle injections."

AerovectRx's products center on the proprietary AeroCell(TM) disposable drug cartridge and vibrating mesh technology that provides for highly efficient and effective inhaled delivery of therapeutics and a continuing revenue stream. The company's products include a multi-use, mass-inoculation system and the next generation Aerocurrent(TM) system designed for use in the point-of-care market to deliver vaccines and therapeutics in established markets.

"Our unique design provides for a platform and a consumable accessories revenue stream in addition to the drug being administered. We plan to partner with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies with established market presence and a sales and distribution infrastructure already in place for our customized Aerocurrent(TM) products. Potential customers range from public health agencies for the mass-immunization system to hospitals, doctor's offices, clinics, and the end-user patients for the various anticipated product offerings under our Aerocurrent system technology," said Mr. Kim.

AerovectRx Corporation is an early stage company developing novel pulmonary drug delivery technology licensed from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Products under development by AerovectRx are designed to deliver a wide variety of therapies through multiple-use mass immunizations as well as customized and personalized nebulizers. Initially targeted therapeutic candidates for the AerovectRx technology include treatments for asthma, cystic fibrosis, COPD, flu, and pulmonary hypertension.
