Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS), the nation's leading health care cost management company, today announced Corona Regional Medical Center has joined the PHCS Network in Corona, California.
PHCS owns and operates the largest national proprietary PPO network with nearly 450,000 providers and more than 4,000 facilities. The company has a customer base of nearly 300 of the industry's leading insurance companies, Taft-Hartley Funds, self-funded employers, third-party administrators, government entities and regional managed care organizations.
The tradition of caring which culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. In 1992 Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center, and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The Hospital is now a 228-bed facility on two campuses, providing comprehensive healthcare services. It employs over 1000 trained healthcare workers, and has a Medical Staff of approximately 300 physicians representing over 40 specialties.
"We are very proud to be part of the PHCS Network," said Doug Kleam, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Corona Regional Medical Center. "Corona Regional and PHCS share a commitment to providing access to high-quality, compassionate health care."
"Corona Regional Medical Center is a welcome addition to the PHCS Network," said Keith Vangeison, Executive Vice President, Networks. "Our customers and their members now have access to convenient, cost-effective, state-of-the-art health care where they live and work."
