BioTech Medics, Inc. Answers Questions Over Testing of Patented SHBAN(TM) Solution As Avian Bird Flu Virus Anti-Viral Disinfectant

Posted on: Tuesday, 27 June 2006, 12:00 CDT

BioTech Medics, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: BTMD) announced June 23, 2006, that it has contracted with Retroscreen Virology, at the University of London, Queen Mary's School of Medicine, London to conduct a study to determine the efficacy of viricidal SHBAN against Avian HSN1 Influenza NIBRG-14 Virus (also known as the Avian Bird Flu).

"We are confident that the SHBAN solution has anti-viral properties that will kill the Avian Influenza virus upon contact without harming humans, animals and the environment," said Delton Carroll, President & CEO of FHJ Scientific and Advisor to BioTech Medics. "SHBAN has previously been tested to be a safe germicidal cleaning solution."

Questions have been raised by investors regarding the EPA's approved 90 plus disinfectant products registered and intended for use against avian influenza A viruses.

How is SHBAN different from the competition?

BioTech's Answer: The EPA approved product's list is solely for use on "hard, non-porous surfaces." Pure ammonia, bleach, gasoline even the Atomic Bomb will kill Avian Flu. Look how fire was used in 1900 in China Town in Honolulu to kill the Plague. These are not safe, non-hazardous practical ways to treat humans and animals.

The purpose of testing the SHBAN Solution in London is to prove the clear superiority of SHBAN over other disinfectants. BioTech Medics intends to prove SHBAN is 1) long lasting, it does not evaporate within one minute after application; 2) it is non-toxic (when used as directed) on humans and animals; 3) it is non-staining, non-bleaching, and has no harmful or toxic odors. Most EPA approved products cannot make these claims.

Question: How about distribution?

Upon successful completion of testing, BioTech plans on offering the SHBAN solution licensed in various forms to one or more major companies such as Pfizer, Dow, Johnson & Johnson and/or sell it directly. Products will include: SHBAN LIQUID HAND SOAP & HAND SANITIZER additive (used to apply to hands daily for long-lasting protection). This is important to hospitals/medical staff, migrant workers picking produce, food and restaurant personnel, airlines staff/passengers, poultry farmers, plants and plant workers. SHBAN Fogger Mist Solution is designed to cover large areas such as cities and wild bird sanctuaries. It will be applied just like mosquito fogger repellants. SHBAN Mister Solution will be sold to sanitize poultry, poultry buildings and wildlife areas. The SHBAN spray will be sprayed directly onto poultry or wild birds to cover them with an invisible coating of SHBAN. Prior tests on bacteria have shown the SHBAN solution to be effective up to 14 days. SHBAN EYE SOLUTION & SHBAN ANTI-BACTERIAL/ANTI-VIRUS SPRAY: FDA human clinical trials will be required.

BioTech is also considering selling a SHBAN Cat Litter additive (cats eat birds). SHBAN is protected under US Letters of Patent #4,868,213, #5,514.808, #5,574,050, #5,679,711 5,679 and #5,585,391 and several EU and other foreign patents. SHBAN is a trademark of BioTech Medics, Inc.

BioTech Medics welcomes and will provide SHBAN samples to government or world health officials should they desire to independently test the SHBAN solution.

The SHBAN(TM) solution, in previous in vitro and in vivo testing has been evaluated for its antimicrobial properties against S. Aureus, S. Epidermidis, EC. Faecalis, E. Coli and Ps. Aeruginosa. Tests revealed that SHBAN was extremely effective against all species of bacteria that were tested. Bacterial counts of the test models were reduced to < 100 bacteria per gram of tissue in the treated groups.
