NuVim, Inc. (OTCBB:NUVM.OB) a leading provider of nutritional beverages and the only beverage that helps build the immune system, and muscle flexibility announced today that the 2006 second quarter revenues should realize a more than 10% increase over the same quarter last year. This will be the first quarter-to-quarter increase in over two years.
"We believe there are several reasons for the revenue improvement. Certainly growth is coming from the Wal-Mart expansion in May which added 200 more Wal-Mart supercenters stocking the three varieties of our 64 ounce size," said Richard Kundrat, CEO of NuVim, Inc. "However, we are just as pleased to see an increase in sales quarter-to-quarter from some of the accounts that have been stocking NuVim since 2000. In New York, market leaders ShopRite and Pathmark supermarkets showed an improvement in their gains over the last few years."
A contributing factor to the growth is NuVim has implemented a number of marketing initiatives to increase visibility and drive consumer awareness, trial and repeat purchases. NuVim is also generating higher interest in their products due to the greater consumer understanding of the importance of maintaining a strong immune system. Certain anti-inflammatory drug and dietary supplements used by a large number of people that have either been taken off the market or proven ineffective may be moving a segment of the population into the NuVim products. In addition, the market is seeing a demand from schools, parents and the general population to provide nutritional beverages versus high calorie, flavored colored sugar water in either carbonated or non-carbonated form."
