Corona Institute for Reproductive Medicine & Fertility (CIRMF) Expands Practice, Acquires San Antonio Fertility Center; The New CIRMF is the Leading Provider of Fertility Services to Aspiring Parents in the Inland Empire

Posted on: Thursday, 29 June 2006, 09:01 CDT

The Corona Institute for Reproductive Medicine & Fertility (CIRMF), the Inland Empire's newest and most comprehensive in-vitro fertilization (IVF) center, has acquired the practice of San Antonio Fertility Center in Upland, Calif.

The Upland center, led by Dr. Bert J. (Hans) Davidson, has been a staple of the community for the past 15 years. San Antonio Fertility Center's Davidson has been practicing medicine since 1974 and is now entering semi-retirement, where he will continue his academic pursuits in the Inland Empire.

Davidson, who notes that his patients have been accustomed to receiving "a significant amount of personalized attention," expressed that they will be "in caring, capable hands" at CIRMF, which is headed by nationally noted fertility specialists Drs. Lawrence Werlin and Paul Magarelli.

"I know Dr. Werlin personally, and his work is highly regarded in the medical community," said Davidson. "It was important to me that my patients be given only the highest quality treatment and be well-served by the professionals to whom I entrust their care. I am confident that both Drs. Werlin and Magarelli will do an outstanding job in helping many aspiring parents realize their dream of having happy, healthy babies. What was of equal importance was that Dr. Magarelli and I share the same professional pedigree, having been fellowship trained at UCLA's Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility program."

The Corona Institute for Reproductive Medicine & Fertility, which opened in February 2006, serves the reproductive healthcare needs of the Inland Empire, one of the fastest-growing communities in the nation. The Institute caters to this burgeoning community by offering easily accessible local reproductive care for the increasing segment of couples facing infertility (nearly one in six) who seek the latest treatments to successfully build families.

"Both myself and Dr. Magarelli are gratified that a physician of Dr. Davidson's caliber would choose CIRMF to take over a respected practice that has taken 15 years to cultivate," said Werlin, co-founder of CIRMF. "We understand the many concerns and frustrations aspiring parents have regarding conception and pregnancy, and look forward to the continued growth of our institute and its services to help Inland Empire residents build their families, one baby at a time."

CIRMF offers innovative assisted reproductive treatments such as preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) which increases pregnancy success by screening for chromosomal abnormalities and genetic diseases, the use of acupuncture with in-vitro fertilization and affordable pricing plans. Werlin and Magarelli bring more than 40 years experience in successfully building families to CIRMF. Both are seasoned practitioners and published researchers who are integral members of GENESIS Network for Reproductive Health, a think tank of independent fertility specialists and academic researchers from across the nation.

CIRMF features a state-of-the-art onsite laboratory and offers general fertility diagnosis and treatments such as artificial insemination, surrogacy and donor eggs, as well as advanced assisted reproductive treatments such as in-vitro fertilization (IVF), preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) and embryo and egg cryopreservation (freezing) for individuals wishing to preserve their fertility due to disease or delayed parenthood.

The Corona Institute for Reproductive Medicine & Fertility is conveniently located off the 91 and 15 freeways at 1810 Fullerton, Corona, Calif.
