CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J., July 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MedeFile International, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: MDFI) , a leader in portable electronic medical records management, today announced that it has signed a non-exclusive partnering agreement with Easy Living(R), Inc. The companies will collaborate on marketing initiatives directed to U.S. seniors to promote member subscriptions for MedeFile's comprehensive medical records management solution.
According to the National Institute on Aging, the United States population aged 65 and over is expected to double in size within the next 25 years. By 2030, almost one out of every five Americans - some 72 million people - will be 65 years or older. Moreover, the age group 85 and older is now the fastest growing segment of the U.S. population.
Michael D. Hyman, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Affiliate Development for Easy Living, stated, "At Easy Living, we are devoted to providing the growing universe of older Americans with the type of support and solutions they require to lead healthy, productive, independent lives. With the help of MedeFile, seniors can enjoy the convenience and peace of mind made possible from knowing that all of their actual medical records are within reach at all times. We are very excited about this revolutionary new technology and believe that it will prove to be very popular with our clients."
Easy Living(R), Inc. offers Easy Living Lifeline Personal Emergency Response Systems, plus access to Home, Health and Personal services, allowing older adults the ability to enjoy their retirement years in the comfort and familiar surroundings of their own home. The Easy Living Lifeline Personal Emergency Response Service, also called medical alarm button or pendant, gives the client a link to 24-hour security and support, as well as providing their family with peace of mind knowing that their loved one will have immediate response for any assistance needed. Using its experience of working with seniors, their caregivers and adult communities, Easy Living coordinates the Lifeline personal emergency response systems, and additional quality services that are delivered into the home to fulfill the basic needs of seniors, as assistance becomes necessary. Besides the Lifeline personal emergency response systems, services range from medication management, home delivered meals, homemakers, and home health care services to care management, and doctors who do house calls.
The Easy Living Program(R) was established by both Community Resource Systems, Inc., a Delray Beach, Florida-based management and development company which specializes in the management of senior adult communities, and the former Intracoastal Health Systems, Inc., Palm Beach County's largest not- for-profit health care provider at that time.
