Assured Pharmacy, Inc. Launches Marketing and Brand Awareness Campaign
Posted on: Wednesday, 26 July 2006, 09:01 CDT
IRVINE, Calif., July 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Assured Pharmacy (OTC Bulletin Board: APHY) -- a leading specialty pharmacy chain focused on prescriptions for pain management -- today announced the launch of a marketing and brand awareness campaign to advance the company's aggressive growth strategy.
The first phase of the campaign will begin in metropolitan Seattle and Los Angeles test markets, and will include newspaper ads and inserts, billboards, bus shelter displays and direct mail. Ongoing tactics will include online initiatives, grassroots marketing and B2B/direct-to-physician outreach. Campaign strategy and implementation will be managed by integrated marketing firm Rainmaker & Sun (Sherman Oaks, Calif.).
"We have made significant progress over the past two years building Assured Pharmacy's infrastructure and refining our unique business model; now it's time to get the word out to our customer base via an aggressive marketing and branding campaign," said Robert J. DelVecchio, Assured Pharmacy's CEO.
Rainmaker & Sun CEO Brett Perlmutter added, "The integrated campaign launched today will play a vital role in advancing Assured Pharmacy's market penetration and sales growth ... it's an exciting time."
Mr. DelVecchio was named CEO of Assured Pharmacy in February 2005. Under his direction, the company has extended its reach beyond the management of acute, chronic pain to include other specialties such as orthopedics, neurology, oncology, psychiatry, physical rehabilitation and industrial medicine. The company currently owns and operates five retail pharmacies that specialize in dispensing highly regulated pain medications. Prescriptions can be filled on a walk-in basis, or via courier or next day delivery.
What sets Assured Pharmacy apart from "big box" and non-specialty pharmacies is its expertise dealing with C2 controlled substances, as well as its advanced electronic prescribing and fulfillment technology. A plethora of state and federal laws tightly control certain medications used for pain management. Assured Pharmacy is geared specifically to handle the required paperwork and verification. The one-on-one specialty care provided by Assured Pharmacy helps doctors and patients ensure total compliance and a higher degree of privacy.
According to the National Chronic Pain Outreach Association, more than 48 million people in the U.S. suffer from chronic pain, and an estimated seven million cannot relieve their pain without opiods (narcotics).
