Tucson Medical Center Partners With USBiogistics for Real-Time Enterprise Support Services Management Solution

TUCSON, Ariz., and ATLANTA, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- USBiogistics, a provider of real-time enterprise support service solutions for healthcare, and Tucson Medical Center (TMC), a 609-bed community hospital of TMC Healthcare, southern Arizona's largest regional health system, announced today the signing of a long-term strategic partnership agreement. TMC will utilize Concourse(TM), USBiogistics' enterprise decision support applications, which integrate automated radio frequency technologies, to infuse real-time information into critical enterprise workflow applications, including: biomedical engineering, facilities services, patient flow/scheduling, patient tracking and transport, asset management and equipment charge capture.

TMC will utilize an end-to-end enterprise service applications approach, together with patient room-level (point-of-service) radio frequency identification (RFID) data capture to drive operational efficiencies and enhanced patient care across their entire enterprise. The scope of the real- time information and decision support capabilities will extend well beyond just assets, to include real-time visibility of the entire dynamic patient care process as well as critical TMC service resources. Integrating automated data capture through RFID with Concourse(TM), USBiogistics' entire suite of enterprise support services applications, will allow more time for patient care and enable accelerated knowledge of patient information for more timely decision-making at all levels of the organization.
