Nevada Cancer Institute Named Official Community-Relations Partner of The World Series of Poker

Nevada Cancer Institute (NVCI) has been named the official community-relations partner of the World Series of Poker, Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE:HET) announced today.
"Our brand is global, but our home is Nevada and we are committed to giving back to the local community," said Jeffrey Pollack, Commissioner of the World Series of Poker. "Cancer is the No. 1 cause of lost years of life in our state and Nevada Cancer Institute offers treatment, research and hope for everyone affected by this disease."

NVCI is the official cancer institute for the state of Nevada. It is focused on a future without cancer achieved through initiated and collaborative research in basic, clinical and population science. A non-profit organization, the NVCI has raised more than $100 million in private community financial support and has built a 142,000 square-foot research and care facility in the Summerlin district of Las Vegas.
